TESTIMONIAL
“I have been coaching wrestling for the past 10 years and have several wrestlers working with Mike Bonora. The private lessons Mike offers to these wrestlers has made a tremendous difference in both technique as well as mental attitude. Confidence is KEY in wrestling. I have personally witnessed a huge change in every wrestler that has trained with Mike. His one on one sessions bring wrestlers to the next level in skill which of course translates to more wins and more confidence.” – Tom Caravela, President of the Caldwell Wrestling Club.

How do you get to be a all american, and can you get a scholarship in freestyle and greco wrestling.
You become an All-American by placing top 8 in a national tournament, for example the NCAAs.
Are you flexible with your prices ?. What time of day could you do private lessons?
Wish you were in north carolina! My son is in 9th grade and started wrestling in 7th grade. He loves it with all his heart. He had a few set backs from injuries in 8th grade but now is moving full steam ahead. He attended Cornell’s ten day camp this past summer and jordan’s camp. He plans to attend jrob’s 28 day camp next summer. He wants to be the best he can be!
Thank you. While I may not be able to run a private lesson for him, there are many great coaches throughout the country. I’m sure there a few relatively close to your home. Good luck to him in the upcoming season.
Just wish to say your article is as astounding. The clarity in your
post is just cool and i can assume you’re an expert on this subject. Well with your permission allow me to grab your feed to keep up to date with forthcoming post. Thanks a million and please continue the rewarding work.
I can’t praise Mike enough! Not only is he a beast on the mat, he is equally as gifted at teaching the sport, which does not always go hand in hand. My wife and I travel well over an hour from NY for my sons lessons with him which are usually 3 hours long. To be honest I always look forward to when my son has a lesson as I just love watching the 3 hour session. On top of that he is truly one of the nicest guys you will ever meet! By the way Mike I did not even know you had such a great web site lol. If your son or daughter is looking to take their wrestling to the next level Mike is the coach to bring him to! Though my son is only wrestling 2 years he has learned way more from Mike in three months then his two years in high school with his three school coaches.
Looking forward to seeing you after the 17th when Mike comes back from Cornell camp!

I am looking for someone in or around the Charlotte, NC to assist my son wrestling in college (UNCPEMBROKE), to give him an edge. His coaches say he should be dominating, but he is not. I’m not sure how else to help him other than 1:1 coaching. He started in wrestling as a freshman in high school, and absolutely loves it. Wants a National Championship title, as well as to go to a Div I university as a wrestler. I don’t know that he will accomplish those goals, but he definitely has the work ethic and the desire. He just needs that edge mentally to put him over the edge. I have searched on Coachup for local coaches, and no one is around. Do you know anyone in this area that I might be able to talk to about private lessons?
Hi Lisa,
That is great to hear about your son. That kind of drive and work ethic cannot be taught. Unfortunately, I don’t know of anyone in that area. My advice would be to contact the head wrestling coaches at all the local colleges. They would be your best bet in knowing who in the area is available for private lessons. Good luck to you and your son!
